The software solution scans for multiple proxies servers and connects to the fastest one, but still allows you to choose another one if you experience problems with the default option, as we discovered during our tests.

Among the features of Freegate Professional, a pretty useful one can be found in the 'Settings' tab and it enables you to set the application to automatically clean the Internet Explorer history when you exit the program.

Overall, Freegate Professional is a great tool for anyone who needs to load websites they're not allowed to access, but keep in mind that its performance pretty much depends on the proxy server you find. Also, the software quite easy to use and comes with enough features to satisfy the needs of the majority of users.

Hamachi 2.1.0.274 is a life-saving solution for all those who struggle to deal with network restrictions, allowing the creation of secure networks over the Internet.

It takes a few seconds to launch for the first time, but only because Hamachi needs to load all the necessary files that are required later to allow you to either connect to an existing network or to create your very own.

The interface is minimal and extremely user friendly. FreePortScanner 2.9.4

FreePortScanner 2.9.4. is a small Windows application that allows users to scan specific ports on a given IP.

The foundation of this application is a very simple interface that needs absolutely no other information except for the port numbers and the IP the user wishes to scan.

While all the fields are located at the top of the main window, the rest of the window is being used by the results of the scan which include IP address, port name, number and status and description.

As you can see, FreePortScanner is pretty easy to use and beginners should have absolutely no problem in figuring out which feature is which, so a help file is completely missing from the package.

Using TCP packets to find out which hosts and ports are opened, FreePortScanner lets you provide not only specific ports to be scanned, but also entire ranges.

Unfortunately, the application displays some advertisement right in the main window, while the “Files” menu also comes with a few options that take the users to the official website of the developer.

The same thing happens every time the application launches as well, with the browser automatically opened and redirected to the main page of the creator.

The good thing is that FreePortScanner runs on low computer resources, but on Windows 7 there are moments when the program is not responding at all, so you need to close it using Task Manager.

Overall, FreePortScanner is a handy utility to scan ports and hosts, but some of the links displayed in the main window may be pretty annoying to many users out there. Especially when taking into account that the market is already full of similar apps doing exactly the same thing.
