Rainmeter 3.0 Build 2116 Beta

Rainmeter 3.0 Build 2116 BetaRainmeter 3.0 Build 2116 Beta. There are numerous ways to monitor a computer's performance, its usage levels, and Rainmeter offers one of the most good-looking ones, especially due to the fact that it supports third-party skins.

Rainmeter displays several panels on your desktop presenting a wide range of information about the host PC, such as the CPU, RAM and Swap usage, as well as the free space on each connected drive. This way, one can obtain a detailed overview of the computer within the same place (without needing to explore various menus and system windows).

Needless to say, when the monitored values are too high, users need to start closing some of their running applications and reduce the strain on their PC. Similarly, if they are running out of space on any partition, it is time to begin removing obsolete, unnecessary, duplicate or temp files either manually, or with a specialized software solution.

In addition to the aforementioned panels, Rainmeter can also place some extra ones onto the desktop, depending on your choice: a feed reader, the current time and date, Google searchbox and details about the network activity. Thus, everybody can keep track of their preferred news feed or monitor the upload and download rates without installing distinct apps.

Users get the possibility to select the panels they need and to modify the opacity and position for each of them. Once they obtain the layout that suits their desktop best, they can save it and restore it at a later time, thus getting the chance to keep experimenting with new designs without affecting the initial one.

Due to the flexibility of Rainmeter, third-party developers or enthusiast amateurs can easily use their creativity to produce artistic skins that can match the installed OS theme.

In other words, the functionality of Rainmeter can still be enjoyed regardless of the skin one settles for, and they can use the app for as long as they choose as it comes with a freeware license.

Features Rainmeter 3.0 Build 2116 Beta

Rainmeter can measure:
· CPU load
· Allocated Memory
· Network Traffic
· Performance data
· Uptime
· Free disk space

Size/OS:1.24 MB

Speccy 1.20.446

Speccy 1.20.446Speccy 1.20.446 is a powerful system information tool that can show detailed stats on your hardware with minimum user input.

Once you launch the app, it automatically scans the computer and displays the information in a very well-organized interface, with the process taking less than a minute.

While the machine is a bit stressed up during this time, the hardware scanning process collects information on every single area of the system, including CPU, RAM, motherboard, graphics, hard drives, audio, peripherals and network.

Obviously, a summary is also available, showing you critical information about every single piece of hardware mentioned above. What’s more, it shows current temperature levels of the CPU and graphic adapters, as well as firewall rules and current TCP connections.

The collected information can be exported to XML or TXT documents on your local disks, while Speccy can also save, load and publish snapshots with just one click.

There are only a few options to play with, but Speccy allows you to see temperature levels in other metric or imperial units, while a dedicated utility allows you to save all settings to INI file.

Online help is also available, although chances are that you don’t need it because most of the features are pretty intuitive and Speccy takes care of the whole task all by itself. The information is displayed in a one-window GUI with absolutely no prior configuration.

Speccy is clearly an interesting project that does exactly what it says and provides plenty of options to all users who launch it. You don’t need to be a computer guru to use it, although advanced knowledge is needed to understand the displayed data. The Internet however is full of information on every piece of hardware.

GPU Caps Viewer 1.17.1

GPU Caps Viewer 1.17.1GPU Caps Viewer 1.17.1. is a tool that lets you monitor the activity of your graphics card.

For example, if you are a hardcore gamer or a web developer who uses demanding applications when it comes to graphics, this software can come to your aid.

The user interface of GPU Caps Viewer is standard. So, you can view various information about your GPU, including shader cores, BIOS, device ID, subdevice ID, GPU temperature, current and maximum clock, GPU load, driver, OpenGL, OpenCL, CUDA, PhysX and multi-GPU.

But you can also start an OpenGL or OpenCL demo, view the OpenGL version and its extensions list, the number of CUDA devices, core data (name, compute capability, shader clock, multi processors, warp and grid size etc) and memory data (e.g. total memory, shared memory, total constant).

Furthermore, you can check out OpenCL information, such as version, number of CL devices, type, compute units, clock, driver, global and local memory, 2D and 3D image size, work item sizes, constant buffer, maximum sampler, extensions, work group size, and more.

In addition, you can view system information (CPU, CPU speed, CPU cores, operating system, memory, current display mode, and more), as well as web links, validation data and active 3D applications. Information can be exported to TXT or XML.

The program uses a high amount of system resources and didn't freeze or crash during our tests. However, it doesn't contain a help file. But even if it did, first-time users would have a hard time comprehending its technical terms. Thus, we recommend GPU Caps Viewer mainly to power users.

Features GPU Caps Viewer 1.17.1

· quick view of the graphics configuration (graphics card / GPU type, amount of video memory, drivers version)
· display of the main OpenGL capabilities (OpenGL version, texture size, number of texture units, etc.)
· display of the OpenGL extensions supported by your graphics card or display of all existing OpenGL extensions no matter what graphics card you have. For each extension, you can open its description webpage available at the OpenGL Extension Registry or at NVIDIA's OpenGL Extensions spec. Very handy for graphics developers!
· display of the system configuration: CPU type and speed, amount of systeme memory, operating system
· GPU Burner: allows to make the GPU temperature climb in order to test the graphics card stability. You can actually open as many 3D views as you want in order to make your graphics card working to the maximum. For NVIDIA cards, the GPU temperature is also displayed.
· list of links related to your graphics card: graphics drivers and graphics cards reviews. These links are regularly updated.
· full report in text and XML format. This kind of report is useful for developers who needs an outline of the customer graphics system (for support purposes for example).

System Explorer 3.9.4.4945

System Explorer 3.9.4.4945System Explorer 3.9.4.4945 is one of the tools able to provide an in-depth analysis of your computer, displaying valuable information concerning the start-up programs, the running processes or the network connections.

One of the aces up its sleeve is definitely the interface. Very pleasant and intuitive, with nifty tabs at the top of the main window, System Explorer's interface makes everything very easy to use, thus addressing not only advanced users, but also beginners.

The tab bar can be fully customized by every user to show exactly the information he wants, so you can choose between tasks, processes, performance, additional info, uninstallers, modules, connections, autoruns, services, drivers, networking, WMI browser, history, snapshots, users and security info.

An impressive amount of information and it's all comprised in just a single window, as said based on the popular tabbed interface.

One of the most useful goodies in the whole application is the security scan that checks the running processes for suspicious activity using an online security database. In plain English, the processes will be scanned online through VirusTotal and Jotti services, so you'll stay on the safe side all the time.

System Explorer also comprises a settings screen with options concerning the way the app looks and works. For instance, you can choose to show fractional CPU usage and graphs, set System Explorer as the default task manager or enable history monitoring.

The amount of information provided by System Explorer is absolutely impressive, and this is the thing you will definitely like the most. There are tons of details in every single tab, along with graphs and useful tips, keeping the user up-to-date with what's happening with the system all the time.

If we were to vote for an improvement, we would most likely choose a local help manual because the application gets you to the official site of the developer whenever you try to open the available documentation.

All things considered, it's hard not to be impressed with System Explorer. It provides virtually all the information you will ever need on your computer, it's freeware, it runs on low resources and it works on all Windows versions. Simply brilliant!

Features System Explorer 3.9.4.4945

· Detailed informations about Tasks, Processes, Modules, Startups, IE Addons, Uninstallers, Windows, Services, Drivers, Connections and Opened Files.
· Easy check of suspicious files via VirusTotal or Jotti service.
· Easy search details about file/process via online databases.
· Security Extension for automatic check of processes, modules and selected files.

Furthermore, you can obtain details on devices (hard disks, optical drivers, display monitors, partitions, logical drives, keyboard, mouse, ports, printers etc), network and Internet (network adapters, TCP/IP configuration, Winsock, Internet settings, mail accounts, network resources, shared resources etc) and multimedia (DirectX, media control, mixer, video capture etc).

But you can also view data for the database system, hardware resources (memory resources etc), snapshots (processes, modules, threads etc), traces (executed files, Windows history, run history, Internet cache and cookies etc), and benchmarks (processor, multimedia, memory, display adapter, hard disk, CD and network benchmark). Unfortunately, the last option is only available for registered users.

Each module loads information in a reasonable amount of time, but you cannot configure anything. Nevertheless, this is a great product for users who want to be extra careful when they are using their computers (usually the ones who put a strain on their system - e.g. high demanding video games).

Fresh Diagnose uses a small amount of system memory, and we have not come across any bugs during our tests. Too bad you have to be a registered user to view benchmarking information, but you can easily fix that (registration is free). So, you should definitely use Fresh Diagnose.

Features Fresh Diagnose 8.65:

· System Information: Scanning your system and give a complete report about your computer's hardware and software, for examples: mainboard information, video system information, PCI/AGP buses information, peripheral (keyboard, mouse, printer, etc.) information, network information.
· System Benchmarks: Testing your system performance, such as CPU, hard disk, CD/DVD ROM, and compare it with other systems.

Limitations:

· Fresh Diagnose is FREE for personal/private use only
· Free registration is required if you want to use it longer than 11 days
· Benchmarks are disabled until registration is completed

All CPU Meter 4.0.1

All CPU Meter 4.0.1
All CPU Meter 4.0.1. is an advanced Windows gadget that monitors the CPU and RAM usage, providing detailed graphs and statistics right on your desktop.

Although it's just a gadget and not a dedicated application, All CPU Meter impresses thanks to the rich feature list.

Boasting a pretty appealing interface that seems to fit every desktop out there, All CPU Meter shows the used, free and total memory available, but also usage of every single CPU core. Additionally, the main window displays a colored graph to let you keep an eye on the way these pieces of hardware perform.

Another important thing about All CPU Meter is the “Options” screen that provides a wide array of configuration settings, especially when taking into account that we're dealing with a simple Windows gadget.

There are numerous display options, so you can configure the size and decide whether you wish to see processor clock frequency, processor name, memory usage number, bar and percentage.

Plus, you can adjust the graph by choosing the drawing style and select the action to perform when double clicking on the background. By default, a double click opens the Windows Task Manager, but you can also set up the app to launch Resource Monitor or simply turn the feature off completely.

Of course, you can also configure the refresh rate via the “Options” tab, but also enable core temperatures.

Last but not least, if the standard interface doesn't suit your taste, the dedicated “Color” tab has the power to change the colors for every single section of the gadget, including title, clock and processor.

All in all, All CPU Meter is quite a handy gadget and although it works only on Windows 7 and Vista, it does such a good job at keeping an eye on your CPU.

CPU-Z 1.61.3

CPU-Z 1.61.3
CPU-Z 1.61.3. All avid computer users know by heart all the components located under the hood of their PC. And for this to happen they require a tool like CPU-Z, an application that can provide an impressive amount of information related to hardware resources.

There are quite a lot of similar software solutions out there, but CPU-Z is basically the definition of simplicity and efficiency. However, extra care during the installation, as it offers to deploy a browser toolbar, as well as to change the homepage and the search engines of your browsers.

After installing CPU-Z, beginners are advised to take the time and read the documentation in order to be able to correctly read the data collected by the application.

Every time the app is launched, it automatically scans the computer for changes and displays all the information within a single, tab-based window. This way, users can easily read data regarding the CPU, mainboard, memory or graphics in a matter of seconds and few mouse clicks.

Another advantage of this automatic scanning is the fact that one can replace various components, then analyze the way their PC works, thus coming up with the best configuration.

If one wishes to review the data at a later time, CPU-Z gives the option to save the report in two different formats, TXT or HTML, generating a complete report about your hardware components.

One of the best aspects of CPU-Z is that it comes with a freeware license, so every user can enjoy its benefits with no strings attached. The software provides a great amount of detailed information, while still being extremely light on resources, so that it works smoothly even with older machines, providing an impressive range of data.
