Hide Folders 2.5. As the name of this software implies, Hide Folders allows you to hide the folders of your computer, in order to maintain the privacy of your information. This type of program is ideal if you share your computer with multiple users.The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. You can import folders into the list by using the treeview only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed but you can add only one folder at a time.
In the list you can check out the path and status of all folders. They are automatically hidden once you place them in the queue.
In addition, you can set up a program password and type it every time you access Hide Folders (but it is not mandatory). It is also required when uninstalling the tool.
The simplistic program runs on a very low amount of system resources, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. It can also guide you to a brief online FAQ page. However, the status of the folders couldn't change to "Shown" in the queue during our tests, after "unhiding" them. But, unlike other similar software, Hide Folders doesn't automatically erase folders that you forgot to "unhide" before uninstalling it. We strongly recommend Hide Folders to all users.
