Sublight is a program that lets you easily access subtitles from the online platform, so you can quickly get back to watching your favorite movies.
Once you initiate the application with the user-friendly interface, you can use the Sublight settings wizard to select the user interface language, view mode (simple or standard), subtitle languages, default application for video playback and subtitle plugins.
So, you can set a criteria for a manual search (title, year, season, episode; or use suggested titles) or for automatic search (by inputting the video file and optionally set the tool to automatically fill the title for the manual search).
Once results are displayed, you can view the subtitle synchronization, media type, language, number of downloads, votes and reports, as well as publisher name and submitted date for each title.
Also, you can filter results (according to language, rate, publisher, number of discs) and view online air dates, new and favorite subtitles, as well as the ones published or downloaded by you. But you can also search for movies in your entire hard drive and view file details (e.g. video codec and format, frame rate, runtime).
Plus, you can publish your own subtitles, once you have specified the IMDb link, subtitle language, type, media type, discs, FPS, release and comment.
In the "Settings" tab you can set the external application for video playback, subtitles download folder, Explorer integration settings, subtitles from other sources, as well as configure subtitle options, proxy settings and others (e.g. ignore specific words when auto filling title from the file name).
The software uses a moderate amount of system resources and has a very good response time, but doesn't contain a help file. Even so, we haven't come across any problems during our tests, so we strongly recommend Sublight to all users.
